Applications: NYCOGREASE GN 17 is a soft NLGI 2 grease, based on a synthetic diester oil thickened with a lithium soap. It also contains 5% of molybdenum disulphide as solid lubricant. NYCOGREASE GN 17 is designed for airframe lubrication in the temperature range – 73 to +121°C. NYCOGREASE GN 17 can be used on the basis of its approval MILPRF- 21164 D on Boeing aircraft where the use of the general purpose BMS 3-33 grease is not allowed. It shall not be used in contact with elastomers that are incompatible with esters, such as natural rubber, neoprene, nylon or butyl rubbers.
