TEXACO Metal Protective Oil L x 208 litres Metal Protective Oil L is a high performance mineral based preventive oil in combination with a range of additives, including rust and corrosion inhibitors, designed to provide a thin, tight, protective film over steel components in storage or transit. Customer benefits: • Provides robust protection of steel components in storage or transit • Prevents coloured ring formation in long-term storage of rolled or stacked steel • Resistant to red or white rust • Long term oxidation protection • Non-stick, non-greasy surface prevents sticking between steel sheets • Non-stick surface prevents dust and contamination sticking to steel surfaces • Will not change the natural appearance of protected steel surfaces • Easily removed with solvents or alkaline cleaners Applications: • Metal Protective Oil L can be applied directly with a brush, by spraying or by immersion. If a very thin oil film is required, the oil may be heated to 50°C • Metal Protective Oil L does not contain solvents, but it can be diluted by up to 10 % to make it more fluid. Heating is not required. When diluted, it exhibits penetrating effects and can be used as a penetrating oil • Note: Metal Protective Oil L should never be applied to dirty and/or wet surfaces.
