TEXACO Compressor Oil EP VDL46 x 208 litres The Compressor Oil EP VDL range of high performance compressor lubricants are formulated with high quality paraffinic base oils in combination with robust additive technologies. These lubricants are designed to offer oxidation and corrosion protection and tough extreme pressure characteristics. The Compressor Oil EP VDL range contributes to smooth, economical performance and dependable protection against piston and valve deposit formation, promoting reduced fire or explosion risk in compressors operating under severe service conditions. Applications: • Compressor Oils EP VDL are recommended for stationary and portable compressors, including compressors with oil lubricated pressure space and single and multistage reciprocating compressors or single and multistage centrifugal compressors. • The EP VDL 32 and EP VDL 46 grades are recommended primarily for use in oil-flooded screw compressors as well as centrifugal compressors. At extremely high compression pressures (in the region of 1000 bar), such as in multistage reciprocating compressors, the higher viscosity grades may be used. However, particular attention should be paid to the prescribed viscosity specification as specified by the compressor manufacturer • Compressor Oil EP can be used in air or inert gas reciprocating compressors • Compressor Oil EP can be used in compressors where the manufacturer specifies a non detergent, EP oil of similar type and performance. Not recommended for use in breathing air compressors. Performance: • DIN 51506 VDL Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 is recommended by: • Tanabe for use in their reciprocating-type compressors • Sperre for use in their Classic 30 bar reciprocating air compressors Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 is suitable for use in: • Hatlapa W- & L-type, and V-Line piston compressors • Teikoku air compressors Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 has also been used successfully in Hamworthy air compressors.
