Applications: MERKAN 23 is pre-eminently designed for the lubrication of slow rotating slide bearings and articulations used in marine applications such as stern tubes, and ‘industrial’ applications such as conveyor belts. MERKAN 23 is also suitable as a non “EP” general purpose grease in a wide range of ‘outdoor’ applications where water is in frequent contact with the grease. Always avoid contamination of the grease by dust and/or dirt when applying. Preferably use a pneumatic pump system. Specifications: ISO 6743-9: L-XBAHA 2/3; DIN 51502 : M2/3C-20. Advantages: MERKAN 23 is insoluble in water, leading to a remarkable resistance to water washout. Because of the smooth and fluid structure MERKAN 23 is easily pumpable and therefore suitable for centralised lubrication systems.
