TEXACO TEXCLAD 2 GREASE x 18 kgs Texclad 2 is a proven performance heavy-duty calcium grease. It is smooth, buttery and water stabilised, providing reliable, highly adhesive water wash-out protection. Texclad 2 contains a high viscosity base oil and solid graphite and molybdenum disulfide additives providing a tough, durable oil film and extreme heavy-duty wear protection. Texclad 2 is bitumen-free, reducing environmental impact. Other specific applications are: • Forklift rails and wheel-drive gears • Slipper drives (steel mils) • Rigs (back-up legs), Dredging (cutting heads) • Travelling water screens • Exposed gears in construction, mining and industrial equipment • Dipper sticks on excavating shovels • Automotive fifth wheels (tractor-trailer turntables) • Steel girth gears (girth tires) on rotary kilns and crushing mills • Sugar mill plain bearings, when fluid lubricants have shown a tendency to leak • Underwater dredging buckets • Jacking legs on offshore drilling rigs • Marine wire ropes Texclad 2 can be used at higher temperatures than +60°C, in special cases where the carrier grease is thermally decomposed leaving the solid mineral additives to provide lubrication. About 22% graphite and 3% MoS2 will remain.
